Distribution of Sewing Machines

Rotary Club of Greater Silchar gave three sewing machines to Sarvodaya Trust Silchar. In a brief ceremony on July 10, the Rotary Club of Greater Silchar donated three sewing machines to the Sarvodaya Trust founded by late freedom fighter Sachindra Mohan Dutt. It is noteworthy that in the newly constructed Lakhuda Bhavan, the Skill Development Training Center is being built with the contribution of Dr. Rajat Baishya, who lives in far away New Delhi. A large number of women and young girls of the area including teachers of Sarvodaya Vidyalaya were seen enthusiastically attending today's event. Sarvodaya Trust General Secretary Advocate Shekhar Pal Chowdhury Gandhi Shanti Institute General Secretary Ashok Kumar Dev, Rotary Club of Greater Silchar President Jayjit Biswas, Service Director Debjyoti Ghosh, Public Image Chair Arijit Biswas spoke on the occasion.
