Children Day

The President and members of the Rotary Club of Silchar marked Children’s Day with a series of meaningful initiatives aimed at supporting education and promoting well-being among children. As part of their celebration, they donated a ceiling fan and various educational materials to a local school namely “No 1100 Chaitanya Nagar LP School” and handed over to Banasri Goswami (EV),
Jainul Laskar (AEV) , enhancing the learning environment for the students. This thoughtful gesture reflects the club’s commitment to improving educational infrastructure in the community.

In addition, the President and members also visited the Rotary Functional Literacy Centre to celebrate the occasion with its students. During this visit, they distributed pencil boxes and other essential study materials to the children, ensuring they have the tools necessary for their studies. To further make the day special, they served nutritious and healthy food to the children, spreading joy and fostering a sense of togetherness.

The event saw the active participation of several prominent members of the Rotary Club, including Rtn. Ranadhir Bose, Rtn. Shyamal Das, Service Project Chairman Dipak Das, and President Suramita Roy Podder. Their presence and contributions highlighted the Rotary Club’s ongoing dedication to community service and the holistic development of children.
