Honoring the Teachers

It is with immense joy and pride that we announce the successful conclusion of the Nation Builder Awards Ceremony, a cornerstone initiative under the Rotary Literacy Mission. Today, President and members of Rotary Club of Silchar had the honour of recognizing and celebrating the dedication of 11 outstanding teachers from various schools across the Barak Valley.
The ceremony was held on Saturday, 30th November, in our club meeting hall. The presence of our President, esteemed members, and distinguished guests made the occasion truly memorable. Each awardee was honored with a traditional Uttariya, a beautifully hand-stitched file cover crafted by local artisans, and the prestigious Nation Builder Award, a testament to their remarkable contributions to the field of education.
These extraordinary teachers, through their tireless dedication, have been shaping the future of countless students, many of whom come from extremely humble and underprivileged backgrounds. During the ceremony, the awardees shared their heartfelt stories, highlighting the challenges they face daily in educating children from disadvantaged communities. Their perseverance and commitment deeply moved all present and underscored the critical role they play in nation-building.
This celebration was more than just an awards ceremony—it was a reminder of our collective responsibility to support and uplift those who work tirelessly to shape the minds and futures of our children.
