Sewing machine distribution program at Melarmath, Battala

In Rotary’s effort to empower women and in turn bringing financial independence to the family, the Rotary Club of Agartala organized one sewing machine distribution program at Melarmath, Battala on 27th December, 2024. From Rotary Club of Agartala secretary, Rtn. Dr. Bidhan Goswami and treasurer Rtn. Er. Tarun Kumar Das handed over the sewing machine to Mrs. Ruma Banik. After receiving the machine she thanked the Rotary Club of Agartala for providing her the same and expressed her desire to train nearby at least three more women. The club treasurer explained the necessity of women empowerment and financial independence for developing a better society and explained Rotary’s efforts in bringing the changes including Polio, peace, conflict, maternal-child health, environment etc. The gathering acknowledged the rotary’s various humanitarian activities.
