DESCRIPTION OF THE PROJECT
>One of the main area of focus of RC JOWAI is to connect with the community through service projects in the field of Sanitation & Hygiene and this RY 2024-25 the club is trying to improve the lives of the people in the community through service projects like the one mentioned above. The Project was implemented and constructed by Rotary Club of Jowai at the cost of 15,33,312/-( Rupees Fifteen lakh thirty three thousand three hundred and twelve only) out of which 10,00,000/- was funded by the MLA of Jowai Assembly Constituency through the Jowai Municipal Board under the 15 th Finance Commission Award 2020-21(TIED grant).The Project was officially inaugurated by Shri. Wailadmiki Shylla Hon'ble MLA Government of Meghalaya &Chairman MUDA Shillong on the 14 th January 2025 ahead of the 6 th Meghalaya Games in Jowai to be open on the 20 th January 2025 by Shri. Conrad Sangma Hon'ble Chief Minister Government of Meghalaya. Incidentally, apart from Football many other disciplines will be played at the said venue.

COMPLETION OF THE PROJECT
>The KNS Public Toilet constructed by Rotary Club of Jowai in collaboration with JMB Jowai has been completed and was officially open on the 14 th January 2025 by The Hon'ble MLA of Jowai in the Presence of Rtn. Rudolf Eustace Laloo, President RC Jowai & Rtn. G. Pradeep Pillai AG Zone 13 and honorable members and other distinguish guests. The New Sanitation & Hygiene facility is fully furnished and equipped with Water and electricity connection since the seperate toilets for Boys and Girls will have access to running water and electricity throughout the year. Both the Toilets for Boys and Girls are also equipped with showers and bathing facilities to help sportspersons and others to clean themselves after every games and exercises.This Project also aim to create awareness and promote good hygiene behavioural practice among participants of the upcoming Meghalaya Games and improve health and Sanitation behaviour in the vicinity of the Sport Complex.
