World Thalassemia Day

A Health Check Up camp was held at Kuarpar, Ghungur on the occasion of World Thalassemia Day . This camp was organized by ROTARY CLUB OF GREATER SILCHAR, The Indian Academy of Pediatrics Barak Chapter, in collaboration with Saksham Cachar a state organization dedicated to the disabled. Rtn Dr. D. J. Nath, Dr. Ranjana Dhar, Club President Rtn Joyjit Biswas,Service Director Rtn Debojyoti Ghosh, Mayank Shekhar, Mithun Roy, and Rotaractors were present in the camp. More than 50 individuals underwent Haemoglobin, Blood sugar and Blood pressure checkups.Dr. DJ Nath and Dr. Anjana Dhar spoke on Thalassemia in the camp and gave many suggestions to all those present. On behalf of Rotary Greater Silchar, Joyjit Biswas thanked everyone for participating in the camp.
