Installation and Charter Presentation of two Interact Clubs

The Installation and Charter Presentation Ceremony of two newly formed Interact Clubs under the aegis of the Rotary Club of Dimapur was conducted on 25th June 2025 at Gonyü Memorial School and Mount Mary Higher Secondary School, both located in Chumukedima. This significant milestone marked the official induction of 62 students into the Interact movement, as they took their oaths to serve as Interactors dedicated to leadership, community service, and global understanding.
The ceremony was graced by several members of the Rotary Club of Dimapur, school faculty, and enthusiastic students. The highlight of the event was the presence of the President of the Rotary Club of Dimapur, who officiated as the Installation Officer for both the clubs. In his address, he spoke about the importance of instilling the values of service and leadership at a young age, and encouraged the students to take full advantage of the opportunities Interact provides.
Each program began with a welcome speech from the respective school principals, acknowledging the Rotary Club’s contribution to youth development and community service. The Charter Certificates were formally handed over to the schools, and badges were ceremonially pinned to the newly elected office bearers and members of the Interact Clubs. The Interactors then took the official oath, pledging their commitment to the Rotary motto, "Service Above Self."
The President of the Rotary Club emphasized the long-term vision of building youth leadership through such clubs, and assured continued guidance and support from the Rotary fraternity. Faculty advisors from both schools were introduced and appreciated for taking up the responsibility of mentoring the students in their new roles.
The program concluded on a celebratory note with group photographs, exchange of tokens of appreciation, and refreshments. The establishment of these two new Interact Clubs is expected to energize the spirit of service and leadership among students, and further strengthen Rotary's impact in the Chumukedima region.
