'Kabita Sandhya' is a notable name in the literary field of South Bengal. In 1987, Ajit Bhattacharya and Dr. Mihir Chowdhury started the journey with the initiative of Kamila. After the demise of the two Maharathis, the leadership of poets Kushal Dey and Shyamal Baruri is moving forward uninterruptedly. The Poets' Conference takes place on the last Sunday of every month. Everyone, big and small, comes together to practice poetry. A poetry evening conference is organized by us at the premises of Droplets School, where Kushal Dey, editor of Kabita Sandhya and Shyamal Baruri, president of Kabita Sandhya were honoured.
