Awareness on Maternal and Child Health

On behalf of Rotary Club of Durgapur, we organised an awareness program on 28/7/24 to celebrate Maternal and Child health month of the Rotary calendar.
Our members, Rtn. Dr. Dipanwita Sen ( renowned Gynecologist and Obstetrician) and senior Rotarian Dr. Ashish Chatterjee along with visiting Dietitian, conducted an interactive session involving 23 children and 21 mothers, at our Rotary Complex. They were imparted basic know-how on menstrual hygiene, how to stay healthy and also how to combat common diseases
We distributed fruits and nutritious food items to all; stationery ( pencils, eraser, sharpener, ruler), chocolates to children and also sanitary pads to the young girls and mothers present.
