Celebrating World Polio Day

October 24th is observed as World Polio Day, every year. This significant day also coincided with UN Day, highlighting our collective commitment to global health and well-being. The Rotary Club of Dimapur celebrated World Polio Day at the Rotary Centre Dimapur, where we came together to honour the progress made in the fight against polio and to reaffirm our dedication to its eradication.
We were honoured to have Smt. Dr. Rongsennungla, the District Immunisation Officer, graciously consented as our chief guest and guest speaker for the event. The function took place on October 24 at 6:30 PM, with Rtn. R.S. Panesar serves as the chairman.
The kind presence of our members was essential, as it reflected our commitment as Rotarians toward polio eradication. It also demonstrated to our guest speaker the unwavering dedication we shared in this vital mission. Together, we learned from Dr. Rongsunninghamla’s insights and continued our fight against polio.
