Celebration International Breast Feeding Week

Rotary Club of Golaghat celebrated World Breast Feeding Week (1-7 August, 2024) on 7th August, 2024 at Anganwadi Center Golaghat Railway Station 2, East Block in collaboration with Women and Child Development Department (Integrated Child Development Scheme), Govt. of Assam. The program was anchored by Ms Rehena Sultana, Supervisor, ICDS and emphasized the importance of breastfeeding and the role of mothers. Mr Bitupon Dutta , Co-Ordinator, Pushan Abhijan, spoke on the occasion. Rtn Dr Minuara Begum, Immediate Past President, R C Golaghat also spoke on the scientific & health issues of Breastfeeding. 23children of Anganwadi Center, 10 lactating mothers with their babies, Archana Tamuly, Supervisors of ICDS, Mrs. Nilima Milli & Gunin Saikia, Teacher of Kathkatia L P School, Mitali Sarma, Anganwadi Worker of the Center and Rtn Reena Jallan, Rtn Konkona Borah & Rtn Uma Gupta attended the programme. Nutritional Food items were provided to the lactating mothers.
