Children’s Day Celebration

On 14th November 2024, the Rotary Club of Dimapur celebrated Children’s Day with the inmates of Ebenezer Orphanage Home in Dimapur. Seven members of the club attended the event, bringing joy and a sense of community to the 17 children residing at the orphanage.
The event featured a special interactive session between the Rotary members, the children, and the owner of the orphanage. During this time, the children shared their experiences, and the owner highlighted the challenges and rewards of caring for the children. The day was filled with laughter, love, and warmth as both the Rotary members and the children enjoyed each other's company.
In keeping with the spirit of giving, the Rotary Club generously donated school bags, food items, and stationery to the orphanage. This thoughtful contribution was aimed at supporting the children’s education and daily needs. The children and the owner expressed their heartfelt gratitude for the gifts, and they blessed the Rotary members for their kindness.
Additionally, the project was made possible through the generous contribution of Rotary Club’s Project Chairman, Rtn. Bivash Purkayastha, who kindly covered half of the overall expenditure for the event. His support played a significant role in making the celebration a success and ensuring the children received the much-needed items.
The day ended on a high note, with the Rotary members leaving the orphanage with a sense of fulfillment and joy, knowing that their time, efforts, and donations had made a positive impact on the lives of the 17 children at Ebenezer Orphanage Home. The celebration not only marked Children’s Day but also reaffirmed the Rotary Club of Dimapur’s ongoing commitment to supporting and uplifting the community.
