Community Feast and Other celebration

The President and Members of the Rotary Club of Silchar organized a wonderful celebration today on the occasion of the 76th Republic Day. The day commenced with a flag hoisting ceremony at the club premises, led by the President and attended by club members, members of the Inner Wheel Club of Silchar, Roteract members and students from the Rotary Functional Literacy Centre.
From 11:00 AM onwards, various fun and cultural activities were conducted by the students and teachers of the Rotary Functional Literacy Centre. The children were awarded with trophies and toys by the President and members of both Rotary Club of Silchar and Inner Wheel Club of Silchar.

At 1:30 PM, the prestigious Community Feast project of the Rotary Club of Silchar was inaugurated by the esteemed Honourable MLA, Sri Dipayan Chakraborty. Prior to the inauguration, the President and members of the club hosted a short interactive session to felicitate the MLA. During this session, Rtn. Taimur Raja Chaudhry and President Suramita Podder briefed the MLA on the various permanent projects being successfully carried out by the Rotary Club of Silchar for the betterment of society and the community at large.
In his address, the Honourable MLA commended the club’s efforts and encouraged them to publicize their activities further, as many people remain unaware of the significant contributions being made by the club.
Following the session, the MLA inaugurated the Community Feast and spent time enjoying a meal with the children and the community members.
