Distribution of Sewing Machines to the Needy

On 3rd April 2025, the Rotary Club of Dimapur organized a Sewing Machine Distribution Program to support underprivileged individuals, particularly women, by equipping them with sewing machines to promote self-employment and financial independence. A total of 3 (Three) sewing machines were distributed during a well-attended event graced by Club President Rtn. Monoj Bhattacharjee and fellow Rotarians.
Beneficiaries were selected based on economic background and prior tailoring skills, with the aim of enabling them to generate a steady income from home. The initiative is part of the club’s ongoing efforts to promote vocational service, women empowerment, and livelihood development.
President Monoj Bhattacharjee highlighted the importance of such sustainable initiatives in improving the quality of life in local communities. The club also plans to offer follow-up support.
