Doctors Day Celebrated at Sarvodaya Health Centre

Guwahati, July 1. The Rotary Club of Gauhati South (RCGS) celebrated Doctors Day at the Sarvodaya Health Care Centre in Fancy Bazar. Seven doctors from various disciplines were honored on this auspicious day, which coincides with the birthday of Dr. B.C. Roy and is celebrated nationwide.The event began with an inaugural speech by Rtn. Nawajyoti Sharma, President (RCGS) 23-24, who spoke in detail about the significance of Doctors Day and its celebration on Dr. B.C. Roys birthday. This was followed by a short speech by Rtn. Dr. Chandan Rajkhowa, President-Elect (RCGS) 24-25, who highlighted the pivotal role played by doctors in ensuring a healthy life.The honored doctors were presented with a phulam Gamocha, a citation, a souvenir, and a gift hamper from AMUL. Dr. K.C. Das, Dr. S.B. Medhi, Dr. Simanta Das, and others expressed their happiness at being recognized in this unique event. The meeting concluded with a vote of thanks from Secretary Rtn. Priyama Goswami.
