Doctors’ felicitation

Doctors’ day is celebrated on 1st July every year in India in memory of Dr. Bidhan Chandra Roy, the physician and first Chief Minister of West Bengal. But due to some unavoidable circumstances, the Rotary Club of Agartala celebrated the day on 09/11 at the local press club in the presence of the Hon’ble Mayor of Agartala Municipal Corporation, Sri Dipak Majumdar as chief guest, Prof Anup Kr. Saha, the principal of Agartala Govt. Medical College as Guest of Honour, Rtn. Dr. Achintya Bhattacherjee, the AG of xoneXVI, RID 3240 and Charter president, RC Comilla Sunrise & Lalmai, Rtn. PP Abu Azmal Pathan were the special guests on this occasion. To recognize the contributions of doctors in the society, 10 doctors from different parts of the state were felicitated with a memento, uttoriyo and flower bouquet.
Apart from this all doctor rotarians of the club were also felicitayed to recognize their contribution in the field of modern medicine.
The club president, secretary, all office bearers and members participated in the program. The program was followed by working lunch.
