We The Rotary Club Siliguri Umeed, in collaboration with the 4033 Field Hospital . embarked on a massive tree plantation drive, planting 300 trees. This initiative is a part of larger campaign that encourages people to plant trees in honor of their mothers, also promoting environmental protection and restoration of degraded land areas. The campaigns objective is to combat land degradation and restore damaged ecosystems.
The idea of planting a tree as a symbol of love and respect for ones mother is a beautiful concept. Its reminiscent of the "Ek Ped Maa Ke Naam" (A Tree in the Name of Mother) campaign, which aims to encourage individuals to plant trees as a tribute to their mothers.¹
We also felt very proud to work with our Indian Army .
because working with the Indian Army is a matter of pride in itself.
