The Amarpur subdivision is one of the worst flood affected areas of the state. The chances of spread of various water borne diseases remain a great threat on the aftermath of the recent flood. Keeping in mind the above fact, Rotary Club of Agartala organized one health camp at Rangamati under Amarppur sub-division which is about 100 kms away from Agartala on 08th September.
In the health camp various precautions that need to be taken in the flood affected areas were discussed in details in an attempt to prevent various types of diseases in the post flood situation. About 250 patients were given medical advice and free medicines.
Rtn. Dr. Subal Debnath and Dr. Chayan Sarkar took part in the health camp. Other rotarians namely Rtn. Er. Swapan Bhowmik, Rtn. Er.Priyanath Das, Rtn. Kisalay Ghosh, Rtn. Sujit Chanda and Rtn. Asim Chakraborty also took part. - Rangamati Cooperative, Amarpur, South district
