Installation of 8 nos of Solar Street Lights

  • RC Greater Silchar adopted a village, Roypara, KATAKHAL. A totally neglected Border village being in the crossroads of administrative bottlenecks. We moved by the plight of these villagers and took on the task of converting this village into a Rotary Model Village. A permanent project would be the only way out to bring this village in the mainstream. Club members chalked out a road map for the initial development of this village. Surrounded by rivers on 3 sides, this village was always neglected by administration and local bodies. The plight of these villagers sufferings moved our intersection and we promised to systematically transform the village. Today on our initiative 8 nos of Solar Street Lights were installed in prominent locations of the village for their convenience. We will be going to set up a Skill Development Centre in coming 2 days in the village to create an income source of the villagers. Bee Hive project has also been taken up keeping in mind the trained villagers in this regard. Roads and other infrastructure improvement has also been taken up.
