Literacy Sponsorship for Underprivileged Students

On 27th March 2025, the Rotary Club of Dimapur held a meaningful event where they provided sponsorship to 8 underprivileged students through their Literacy Sponsorship for Underprivileged Students program. These students, coming from different schools, were each selected to receive financial assistance to support their educational journey.
The event saw the official handing over of the cheques, which were presented to both the students and their parents. The cheques were issued in the name of the respective schools, ensuring that the sponsorship funds would directly benefit the students’ educational needs—whether that be for tuition, books, school supplies, or other related expenses.
By involving students from multiple schools, the Rotary Club’s program demonstrated its widespread impact and its commitment to supporting a diverse range of students in the community. This approach not only helps to ease the financial burdens faced by families but also promotes inclusivity by reaching out to students from different educational backgrounds.
The initiative also fosters a sense of community and solidarity, as these students—despite coming from various schools—are united by the common goal of receiving quality education.
