Menstrual Hygeine talk at Nepali Girls Higher Secondary School by lady members of RC of Darjeeling and Rotractors from South Feild College Darjeeling

You want to change how society functions? Start by inception of correct ideas in the youth. Trying to raise a generation of women who do not consider speaking about period openly to the men a taboo, one mindset a time.
The ladies of the club and Rotractors from Southfield College held a workshop at Nepali Girls High School where they burst myths, such as period being unpure, cannot touch pickle, cannot cook, cannot exercise etc. Spoke about the science behind the menstrual cycle. Showed them how harmful regular sanitary pads are for the body and environment and the alternative solutions to regular pads.
Our hope lies in instilling the right information in young girls so that we can break the taboo and regressive thought process that still exists in the society
