MENTAL HEALTH CARE

A Mental health Counseling Session was successfully organised by Rotary Club of Digboi at Vivekananda Vidyalaya on 25th September 2024 .Mr Lakhyajyoti Das, Mental Health Counselor, DMHP, Tinsukia delivered a talk on the topic " Care of the Mind"among the students of classes ix to xii . While interacting with the students, Mr. Das suggested some tips to the students for improving concentration skill, eliminating distractions and negative thoughts, coping with peer pressure , selection of the right role model, stress management during exams etc.He also demonstrated few meditation tips to overcome nervous breakdown specially during exam time . Mr. Das also highlighted on anxiety, depression and eating disorders of students and suggested few remedial measures. President Rtn Dr. Nirza Saikia delivered the welcome address and Secretary Rtn Simi Dhanowar offered the vote of thanks.Rtn Santanu Roy and Rtn Purno Bora also attended the Counseling Session along with a number of teachers of Vivekananda Vidyalaya.
