Kaziranga Wildlife Sanctuary, a UNESCO World Heritage Site faces significant challenges during the monsoon season, with floods severely impacting both the wildlife and the local communities. Among the most affected are the "Van Durga" – the women frontline workers who play a crucial role in wildlife conservation, anti-poaching activities, and community engagement. This project aims to provide comprehensive flood relief and support to the Van Durga, ensuring their safety, well-being, and continued commitment to wildlife protection during these challenging times. This flood relief program is a critical initiative to support the brave women who stand on the frontline of wildlife conservation in Kaziranga.
