5.On August 29, 2024, the Rotary Club of Hailakandi observed National Sports Day with a vibrant program presided over by Rtn. Samiran Paul, a senior Rotarian. The event was attended by notable members, including the current president, Mr. Bivabhusan Chakraborty, along with Harkishore Chanda and Shankar Choudhury. The Chief Guest, ADC Mr. Raktim Barua, graced the occasion. Eight emerging sports personalities from the district were felicitated for their achievements. The dignitaries present shared inspiring speeches, emphasizing the importance of sports in fostering community spirit and individual growth. The event was a significant celebration of sportsmanship and talent.
