On the auspicious occasion of pre Durga Puja celebration, the President and members of the Rotary Club of Silchar came together to bring joy and hope to the children of the Rotary Functional Literacy School, a flagship project of our club. During this heartfelt event, we distributed school bags, new clothes, and educational materials to the young students, spreading cheer and excitement throughout the school.

It was truly a blessing to witness the radiant smiles on the faces of these children as they received their gifts. The Rotary Functional Literacy School serves as a preparatory school for children hailing from humble backgrounds, including families living in the local slum areas. This school is more than just a place of learning—it is a stepping stone for these children to secure a brighter future. After completing their education here, many of these students are able to gain admission to government schools in our town, opening doors to new opportunities and a path out of poverty.

The Rotary Functional Literacy School is one of the most esteemed permanent projects of the Rotary Club of Silchar. It stands as a testament to our ongoing commitment to education and community development. By providing these young learners with the necessary resources and a strong educational foundation, we are not just enriching their present but also investing in the future of our community.

The support and dedication of our members make initiatives like these possible, and such efforts continue to inspire and empower the next generation. As we celebrated Durga Puja together, we were reminded once again of the positive change we can bring about through unity, compassion, and service. We look forward to continuing our mission of uplifting these young minds and nurturing their potential for many more years to come.
