Revamped of Laban Assamese L.P.School

On June 24, 2025, Rotary Club Shillong Heritage proudly inaugurated its final project under the leadership of President Rtn. Vikash Chokhani, marking the culmination of the Rotary calendar year. This event celebrated the successful completion of the “Happy School” initiative, a key milestone in our ongoing literacy and community development mission.
The inauguration was graced by District Governor Rtn. Sukhminder Singh and First Lady Sumita Kaur. The project was first brought to the club's attention by Literacy Chairperson Rtn. Kaveri Barthakur, who played a pivotal role in initiating the transformation.
Work Completed:
Refurbishment of classroom desks and benches
Complete interior and exterior painting
Construction of a new washing area with basins
Installation of an outdoor play area
Additional necessary repairs in line with Happy School standards
Additional Contributions:
Donation of 10 Rotary-branded umbrellas to the school management
Distribution of 30 refreshment boxes and chocolates to students
Felicitation of visiting Rotarians by school authorities.
