In a remarkable initiative to promote accessible healthcare, the Rotary Clubs of Dimapur and Kohima jointly organized a three-day Free Health Check-up Camp at multiple locations across Nagaland. The camp took place on 23rd May in Kohima, 24th May at the Rotary Center in Dimapur, and 25th May at Jain Charitable Clinic, Dimapur.
The highlight of the camp was the participation of Dr. Neeraj Gupta, a renowned Senior Consultant Spine Surgeon from the Indian Spinal Injuries Centre, New Delhi. Drawing on his extensive expertise and compassionate approach, Dr. Gupta attended to nearly 170 patients during the three days. Supporting him was physiotherapist Dr. Rahul Sharma, who provided valuable rehabilitation and therapy consultations. Patients from diverse backgrounds consulted on issues related to spine health, back pain, joint disorders, and musculoskeletal conditions, receiving accurate diagnoses, therapeutic advice, and, in many cases, much-needed reassurance.
In addition to specialized consultations, the camp offered basic health screenings and general medical support, addressing a broad range of orthopedic and health concerns. The event was warmly received at all three locations, with local residents expressing deep gratitude for the opportunity to access specialist care free of cost.
This collaborative health outreach not only tackled critical health issues but also underscored the Rotary Club’s ongoing commitment to public welfare. The success of the camp highlights the power of community-driven healthcare initiatives and the positive impact of partnerships between local service organizations and leading medical professionals.
