Thanks giving ceremony to the Donors

The state of Tripura witnessed the worst ever flood situation in a few decades in the month of August in this year 2024. The state was grappling with relentless rainfall that has triggered severe flooding and landslides across multiple districts, leading to a humanitarian crisis. `The devastating flood claimed at least 32 lives and leaving over 1.5 lakh people homeless. In this hour of crisis many NGOs, individuals supported Rotary Club of Agartala by donating generously in form of groceries, ready-to-eat kits, water bottles, clothes, cash and other essential items to help those affected by the disaster and together we made a difference by showing some hope to the sufferers.
And to recognize their contribution at the time of need, the Rotary Club of Agartala felicitated 20 (twenty) such individuals and NGOs on 9th November to show our gratitude to be a part of humanitarian service following rotary’s motto of ‘Service Above Self’. The Mayor, Agartala Municipal Corporation was the Chief Gust of the program. The principal of Agartala Govt. Medical College was the guest of honor and Rtn. Acchintya Bhattacherjee, the Assistant Governor of zone XVI of RID 3240 along with charter president, RC Comilla Sunrise & Lalmai, Rtn. PP Abu Azmal Pathan were the special guests on this occasion.
The club president, secretary, all office bearers and members participated in the program. The program was followed by working lunch.
