World Heart Day!

*Date:* September 29th

*Purpose:* Raise awareness about cardiovascular diseases (CVDs), promote heart-healthy lifestyles, and educate people on prevention and control.

*Global Statistics:*

1. CVDs claim 18.9 million lives annually.
2. 1 in 4 deaths worldwide is due to CVDs.
3. 50% of CVD cases are attributed to high blood pressure.

*This Year's Theme:* "Use Heart to Beat CVD"

Rotary Club of Digboi organised an awareness talk on Heart Care in CISF IOCL unit along with a health check up camp for the Jawans and their family members on 30th September 2024.
98 Personals received care , 12 new hypertension, 18 occult diabetic and 4 anaemia patients were detected and put up for follow up for further evaluation.
